My Story

On 3rd October 2021, I’ll be helping to support AzuKo by taking part in the Virtual London Marathon and raising money for the work they do in Dinajpur, northwest Bangladesh.

Although I am an active person and enjoy cycling, walking and playing volleyball, running 42.2km in the humid Bangladeshi climate will be challenging. However, when I volunteer for AzuKo, I see first-hand the positive impact their work has on disadvantaged communities, and I am excited to be able to directly participate in raising funds.

In Bangladesh, it is not common to see people running for pleasure and whenever I put on my running shoes and jersey people always stop me to ask what I am doing. I am enjoying talking to people about AzuKo and the Virtual London Marathon and I hope it will encourage more people in my community to start running.
